For Ages 12 – 18

Open to YMCA members and nonmembers

Students will learn how to make a movie with professional High Definition equipment.

The basics of acting, directing, filming, lighting and much more are included.  After the students learn the fundamentals, they work together to produce a film.  They work as the cast and crew under the direction of professional film directors from 3 Stones Studios, Inc.  At the end of the camp, students will be given a brief overview of the editing process.

Soon after the completion of the camp, students can invite family and friends to join them in attending a premiere party which showcases the movie they made during Film Camp.  Each Film Camp graduate will be awarded a training certificate and a DVD of the movie.

The camp is held for an 8 week session, once a week for 3 hours.

Film Camp is offered according to the availability of the film directors who teach the camp.

Currently, no Film Camp is being offered at the Maquoketa Area Family YMCA, but it will be posted on the website when it is scheduled again.

Please contact Sue River at the Y at 563/652-6566 or e-mail sriver@maqymca.org.
