 The Maquoketa Area Family YMCA opened in October 2007 as a unique collaboration between the City of Maquoketa and the Scott County Family YMCA in Davenport. The Maquoketa Y operates with the philosophy of serving all residents in the Maquoketa area and maintaining diverse funding streams: program service fees, grants, private contributions, public dollars, and private foundations.

 The staff who operate the YMCA programs are well-trained, committed individuals who have acheived professional certifications in each of their fields of expertise. In addition, strong backgrounds in fiscal, personnel and program development ensure dollars collected by the organization are utilized as efficiently and effectively as possible.
